Thermal Imaging Detection System
Importance of Thermal Cameras for Industrial Use
1. Infrared thermometers VS thermal imaging cameras
-
Infrared (IR) thermometers are reliable and very useful for single spot temperature readings, but, for scanning large areas or components, it’s easy to miss critical components that may be near failure and need repair.
GIROC thermal imaging camera can scan entire motors, components, or panels at once - never missing any overheating hazards, no matter how small.
2. Find problems faster and easier with extreme accuracy.
-
It’s easy to miss critical problems with a spot IR thermometer. GIROC thermal imaging camera scans entire components giving you instant diagnostic insights showing the full extent of problems.
3. Use thousands of infrared thermometers at the same time
-
With an infrared thermometer you are able to measure the temperature at one single spot. GIROC thermal imaging cameras can measure temperatures on the entire image. GIROC-80 has an image resolution of 80x60 pixels. This means that it is equal to using 4,800 IR thermometers at the same time. If we look at the GIROC -160, which has an image resolution 160X120 pixels, this means 19,200 pixels or using 19,200 infrared thermometers at the same time.
Using thermal imaging for industrial applications
Give you a full image of the situation
Identify and locate the problem
Measure temperatures
Store information
Tell you exactly what needs to be fixed
Help you find faults before real problems occur
Applications of Thermal Imaging Camera
Predicting Failures
By measuring accurate temperature
Thermal imaging cameras are the perfect tool for predicting failures because they make the invisible visible.
Fire Prevention
By detecting abnormal temperature
Thermal imaging cameras can help you to detect anomalies that would normally be invisible to the naked eye and to solve problems before production goes down or a fire occurs.
Surveillance At Night
By detecting infrared radiation from the subject
Some environment like the maritime is complimentary to thermal camera technology since you are looking for a warm target against a cool uniform scene.
Fever Detection
By detecting fever from human bodies
Thermal imaging cameras are the best tool for fever detection because it detects people with fever by non-contact method and automatically occurs alerts.
It can reduce the measurement time & monitoring manpower for quarantine of COVID-19.
